National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath)

As a software developer at Sitara Systems, I developed three permanent interactive installations for the National Museum of Mathematics' expansion.

Each interactive is designed to explain a unique mathematical concept for both younger audiences as well as seasoned mathematicians. Collaborating closely with designers and fabricators, I planned and developed the interactives in Unreal Engine to form unique solutions for hardware integration, UI design, and visitor experience.

Formula Fun

An interactive drag race exhibit featuring three cars, each representing a different mathematical formula: linear, quadratic, and exponential. Visitors use one of three touchscreen stations to predict which car will win based on the formulas and their variable coefficients. After the race concludes, visitors receive a race summary containing statistical information about the racers.

My Role:
— Develop front end application in Unreal Engine with UMG UI
— Developed multiplayer system for synchronized game state management across three stations
— Multi-computer networked architecture

Technical Specifications:
— 3× touchscreen displays, 6× jumbotron displays
— Real-time motor and lighting control over network
